Jewellery Care
Fine jewellery lasts longer when treated gently. A little care keeps your Tidal Ring looking the way it did on the first day.
Everyday care
Remove your ring before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping or using household cleaning products. Apply perfume, moisturiser, sunscreen and cosmetics before putting your jewellery on, and let them dry fully first.
Take your ring off for gardening, lifting weights, washing up and any activity where the setting could be knocked. The Tidal Ring is not waterproof — repeated exposure to water and moisture will shorten the life of the finish.
Cleaning Amazonite
Amazonite is a natural stone with a raw, porous surface. Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. If the stone needs more attention, use a barely damp cloth and dry it immediately.
Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, jewellery dips, bleach, acetone, steam cleaning and ultrasonic cleaners. These can dull the surface, loosen the setting or discolour the stone.
Caring for vermeil
Yellow gold vermeil and rose gold vermeil are a layer of gold over a 925 sterling silver base, so they should be treated more gently than solid metal. Repeated exposure to water, sweat, perfume, chemicals and abrasion can accelerate wear of the plated surface over time.
Never use silver polish, polishing cloths with abrasive compounds or scrubbing on vermeil — a soft dry cloth is all it needs.
Storage
Store your ring separately from other jewellery in a cool, dry place — ideally in its box or a soft pouch — so the setting and finish aren't scratched by other pieces. Keep it away from humidity, direct sunlight and heat.
